I have received a bachelor degree in Psychology in 2010, a Master degree in psychology in 2014, and a Ph.D in psychology. in 2024
I am a board-certified biofeedback therapist (BCIA #B5867), and a certified Life Coach. I am also certified as a clinical trauma professional (CCTP # 505016), grief counseling specialist (CGCS # 285-20694), LGBT affirmative psychotherapy provider, and clinical anxiety treatment professional (CCATP) for adults and adolescents.
I have certifications in the field of nutrition and integrative medicine for mental health, complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM), and applied neuroscience for treating anxiety, panic, and worry. My background is in clinical health psychology, and my focus has been on applied physiology and neuroscience, and the relationship between mind, body and brain.
My area of research is in exploring the Biopsychosocial Markers of Impulsive Eating and Emotional Eating. I have helped several clients struggling with uncontrollable or undesired eating patterns implement choices that improved their health and overall wellbeing.
My work as a biofeedback therapist and life coach is geared towards helping my clients understand how their behaviors and beliefs affect the brain’s response to stress in the body.
I founded MBS Health to help more people demystify the fear of experiencing the physiological manifestations of pain, stress, and anxiety. All emotions serve a purpose in life, and being afraid of them or even trying to supress them can cause more harm than good. When you learn that you can manage undesired physiological responses to these fears and emotions with your own natural resources, you will achieve a level of resilience and wellbeing that have the potential of transforming the way you perceive life.

In Physiological Resilience Training the use of slow paced breathing works by improving physiological distress tolerance and mindfulness as you learn to breathe through the physiological discomfort caused by pain, anxiety and stress.
Using slow paced breathing I will be working on teaching you how you can apply diaphragmatic slow paced breathing as a tool to improve physiological resilience, reduce the physiological expressions of pain, stress, and anxiety, strengthen emotion regulation, and promote inhibition control to reduce acting upon undesired urges.
The life coaching work is designed to help you make lifestyle choices that are aligned with your personal goals. The idea is that together we will create a blueprint of what you need to do to achieve your goals. We will explore possible barriers you might encounter along the way, and identify strategies you will need to implement to overcome these barriers. We will talk about what you need to do to move from being stuck into activily making healthy changes. You might realize that you might not be ready to commit to some suggested life changes. In this case my job is to offer you different perspectives and options on how to identify the changes you feel are doable and long lasting.
As you reach the first goals, you will be more confident in your skills and abilities to promote change, and become more resilient to adverse experiences. We might then need to reassess your needs and readjust the strategies you will need to use to achieve new goals

As you become aware of your body's response to stress you may feel the need to identify ways to improve your health and make lifestyle changes that prevent you from falling into old traps that create stress and anxiety. This is where coaching comes in. Coaching is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want.
If you disclose that you have plans to hurt yourself or others, or if you disclose knowledge that a child or dependent adult is in danger, I am required by ethical standards to take actions to ensure your safety and safety of others. If there are no such concerns, everything shared during your sessions is confidential.
It usually depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to the process. In less complex cases, progress might be noticed between 3 and 8 sessions
